"When I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998, I realized something about dentistry that most dentists would never admit. I knew that it takes more than 30 minutes to do 'everything' we were taught was necessary for a patient to receive a good teeth cleaning. Most offices are financially driven by a steady stream of patients having their teeth cleaned or a prophylaxis, radiographs, oral hygiene instruction and an examination. In order for a good hygienist to do a health history, dental history, take the digital radiographs and actually clean your teeth well; they must have time. So at Gage Dental we are committed to preventing bad dental health, by doing a thorough cleaning and maintaining the highest Standard of Care in Dentistry that we can possibly attain. We generally take at least an hour; and sometimes longer to do most cleanings regardless of the almighty dollar. We do this in a comfortable, state-of-the-art atmosphere.
